    <description>&lt;P&gt;When creating a schedule, mark "include elements in links. If you need rooms etc dont forget to&amp;nbsp;add "Room bounding" option for your link.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>[Revit 2015] Is it possible to schedule family in room from the linked file</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am using Revit 2015, I try to take off equipment schedule on the project main file that include Architecture Linked files (already created room tags) and MEP Linked files. if I am working on the main Project File, Is it possible to schedule MEP family and show location or Room Name/Number from the Architecture linked files?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;When you link models together, &lt;STRONG&gt;by default &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class="ph msgph prodname"&gt;Revit&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt; does not recognize&lt;/STRONG&gt; room-bounding elements in the linked model. However, w&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;hen linking models together, you can make the host model recognize the &lt;A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Revit-Model/files/GUID-65968961-7D56-4D17-8F92-565D2C7CCB2D-htm.html" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Room Bounding&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/A&gt; parameter of elements in the linked model. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Click&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Revit-Model/files/GUID-64AF3A48-C121-4F26-B0BF-CDF93B389F75-htm.html" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;HERE&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;/A&gt;on how to u&lt;/SPAN&gt;se Room Boundaries in a Linked Model&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Checking the &lt;STRONG&gt;'include elements in links&lt;/STRONG&gt;' and choosing&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;the drop down list &lt;STRONG&gt;'&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;I&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Select available fields from&lt;/STRONG&gt;'&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;provide two parameters: &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;File Name&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Name (this is a value you can control/change). Please see attached image which shows an example of elements&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;both in the &lt;STRONG&gt;host file and in a linked file.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
