Cloud Rendering- Exterior too Dark

Hello;

My coworkers and I have noticed that all of a sudden when we render in the cloud the exterior looks very dark when previously we had glowing skies and great sun beaming in through the windows. When we turn the shadows on in Hidden line view it shows the sun pouring into the room but when it renders in 360 it looks very dark and gloomy outside. See the attached images that show how the sun is not coming into the room in the cloud rendering.

Hoping someone can help. Here is what we tried.

-Rendering Settings- Interior: Sun and Artificial

-360 Settings both Native and Advanced

-Background Style: Sky: No clouds Haze- clear

-Turned off planting so no trees were blocking the windows

-Tried all times of day and year

-Sun setting- put in the correct town the project is located

Turn off the windows to verify that the glass material is not too opaque.

Hi @csheridan

The issue may stem from the fact that the rendering engine used in Revit is different than the one used in the cloud.

These renderings were bright when rendered in the cloud about a year ago. Please send me a private folder so you may take a look.

We are testing your file for cloud renders. Some of the render are fine, however the 'forum view' appears darker than the other views. We are trying to tweak some values and lights as pre-render settings and I'll let you know if that helps.

Here are the settings we used for cloud render:

Meanwhile I recommend you run the updates for your Revit version. Please sign in to your desktop app and install the latest update for Revit 2016

Please install this update release HERE which addresses issues reported to Autodesk against Autodesk Revit 2016.

The sky looks very dark in the first rendering of the forum when it is set to mid day. Also That is not rendering the materials correctly. Many of the materials in your rendering look white when they are colored. Were you able to find a solution for the dark sky?

What do you mean by "very dark"? What do you expect v/s what are you getting? If you can explain in images by highlighting the problem areas, that would be good.

Also, I have the file, so please let me know which view I should look at? Are you comparing your viewport (view in screen) with the rendering and are you seeing discrepancies?

I expect that the sky be as bright as the time of day the renderings are set to. I've attached 3 images. The first two are from an older scheme and the sky is shining bright through the windows. The view, sun settings, location and glass materials have NOT changed and yet the sky looks significantly darker in the 3rd most recent image. The first two images look like midday which is what I want and the last image looks like dusk or very late evening. This is view named "01_FORUM_VIEW 26" in my model however this is happening to all my renderings.

Here are additional images as well (please see my last post for additional information)...

The first renderings is more recent and shows a dark sky while the second rendering is older with a much brighter sky (and therefore brighter interior). These settings are the same and the glass material has not changed.
