It is not the expected workflow that you create a Demolished phase and a Temporary phase.

You only need an Existing phase and a New Construction phase. (And additional New Construction phases if your project actually requires them.)

1. You model all the existing in a view that's set to the Existing phase, of course.

2. You have a view set to the New Construction phase, with the Show Previous + Demo filter. You take the little hammer tool and demolish stuff. This view can be named DEMOLITION.

3. You have a view set to the New Construction phase, with the Show Previous + New filter. You model all your new stuff. This view can be named NEW WORK. If you use the hammer to demolish something that is new, then it obviously was temporary and will be overridden appropriately.

4. You have a view set to the New Construction phase, with the Show Complete filter. This view can be called ALL DONE GO HOME.

In other words, each Phase of construction is designed to accommodate demoing some stuff, building some new stuff, and demoing some of that stuff too. You can do a whole building like that.

You want to create another Phase in the project if you're going to go through another round of demo/build/remove later. In which case the COMPLETED state from the previous Phase becomes your "existing" condition for the next Phase.

Make perfect sense?

Hello,

trying do do the phase for a project.

I change the colors.

Put yellow for demolish, red for new and green for existing.

Undrestand that

to have demolish have to put:

Phase

- Create state: existing;

- Demolished state: new;

to have excistinghave to put:

Phase

- Create state: existing;

- Demolished state: nothing.

To have new or temporary phase how can I do?

Set up your phases.

Manage>>Phase

You can only create Existing and New Construction (Phase I, II, II and so one) phases. Demolition happens when you select an object and click the little hammer.

In Phases, you can set up Graphic Overrides. For instance, we have Existing in Halftone and Demolished in red.

To assign an object to a phase - select the object, and change the phase at the bottom of the Properties.

I do not undrestand why in my organization file there aren't pavements plan and I have only the plan level 3 for ceiling plan in existing state (stato di fato) and all the plans are in new plan (stato di progetto) if I set for all walls (violet and red) existing state in the paremeters.

Not undrestand correlation between the plans view and the parameter to set the walls.

Hope to be clear.
