Is it possible to align a section mark to the same place on different views?

if i copy the section mark from view to view, it duplicates the section. i don't want to do that.

Then place a section that References another view, or make the existing section visible in the view.

i want the section mark to be placed in the exact same place on every plan.

(so when i scroll the PDF file, the section mark wont be "moving")

is there any way to place it in the same place on every plan view?

If you are talking about a section mark on multiple levels then just draw one section and stretch its view crop region to cover all levels.

The marks are lined up until adjustments are made to either them. I think the OP is looking for an easy way to realign them after the fact. I'm not aware of any.

As I said, I'm not aware of any way to reset the marks other than manually. You could create a new section, so that they are lined up. Use a view template to match the V/G settings. Remember to also replace the view on the sheet.

Since it is only one level, I would do it manually for that one view.

Sorry, but I'm confused here. What is the issue exactly? A section at Level 1 will show on Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, etc. Just adjust the section view crop in the upward direction, or remove the crop altogether. What's the purpose of copying the Section marks?

@RobDraw: you seem to be understanding what's going on here. Maybe you can explain. Why would you need to "realign them"? There is no "them"; there's only one Section.

It's in the topic that the OP wants to realign the section marks, the ones that indicate a section on the plan views.

@danezeq: I think I understand what you mean now. You drew a Section in Floor Plan and adjusted the Section View Crop to intersect with all the Levels so that the Section mark is visible in every Floor Plan view. Then then went in to each Floor Plan and played around with the Section Head/Tail position, so now they are showing differently in each Floor Plan. You don't like that; you want all of them to be exactly the same in each Floor Plan.

So, to correct, you can go to each Floor Plan and "realign" them to match by "eye-balling" it --- or, you can do what I suggested earlier: Create and place a brand new Section in one of the Floor Plans, but this one will REFERENCE ANOTHER VIEW. The view it will reference will be the original Section. In other words: DO NOT CREATE A NEW SECTION. Now, COPY and PASTE that new Section to every level, and then HIDE the original Section in all those views. You don't need it. What each Floor Plan will now show is the COPY. They should all look the same now. That work for you?

Man, you must have a lot of Levels!

Yes. You decribed my problem better then I.

But I don’t understand your suggestion, you said " DO NOT CREATE A NEW SECTION" and then " COPY and PASTE that new Section"…
So should I create a new section or not? 😊
If I copy the original section mark to other levels, the head/tail get the wrong postion I messed before, again.

Wow, a couple of pictures would have helped us all out. If you need separate sections for each floor, make one, copy it to clipboard, then "paste aligned to current view" to the other levels.

I thought you meant one section that covers multiple floors.

When you place a section, you have an option to make it "Reference other View". Look on your ribbon; it's right their on a Reference Tab when you start the Section command. This is how you prevent what is so maddening to you: the creation of brand new sections. Get it?

...do not create a new Section VEIW is what I meant. Just create a new Section Mark. Maybe that will help clarify.
