Thanks for all your replies.

We were able to work out the problem by nesting the Tile Family into a Generic Model template, with Reference Lines with an angular Parameter where the nested family is able to be 'tilted' accordingly.

See attached for result.

Hi Community, I have a Stainless Steel Ceiling Panel in a 8 x 11 grid, each one is 'pitched' at a different E/W & N/S angle.

I was hoping to simply create a Generic Family with the Sweep (see attached) and then change the Angle in a Section (what was I thinking, right?)

A) Which Family Template should I use to recreate this in my Project ?

B) Whats the best way to handle the Angular Parameters ?

You could do that with Sweep solids, using two profile families. If you need to change angles, simply edit the profiles.

But, if the angles of N/S and E/W are different, the corners are not going to meet nicely, are they?

Generally speaking you can use a sloped glazing with different types of panels. I don't quite get how exactly you want the pitched angle changes? Is it the shape of the sweep profile, or the angle of the entire panel tilting from the horizontal plane?

Thanks for your Replies.

The angles are different for each 'Ceiling Panel Element' (see attached)

The Ceiling Panel is the same centered around the same RL but each is angled differently.

You COULD make a mass family for your ceiling, utilizing a divided surface, hosting a pattern based generic model for the tiles, which could have instance parameters for the rotation angles.

You can also create a Dynamo script to randomize the tilting angle for each panel.

Or you can set up an adaptive repeater to adjust an angle parameter based on its distance from the edge of the ceiling or whatever.
