shared parameter

Hi every, i have a question please.

I have created a shared parameter in my project, so that all my families that i load in the project can have the parameters. But when i open the families by themselfs, the parameters are not there. Is there a way that i can make the parameters to save in the families automatically, and not only visible in the project?

you will need to add the shared parameter to the families 1 by 1

Is there any reason that you need the shared parameter in the family? If it is for scheduling or tagging, keeping it in project and tag families is enough.

1) Have you associated the shared parameter to the category in the project?

Manage>> Project Parameters

2) Have you added it to the family?

Family Types button >> create New Parameter >> Shared Parameter and select the Shared Parameter from your TXT file.
