Form a state of excavation work

Hello.
How do I form a state of excavation work?

I search for function like "Subtraction with upwards extrusion" of ArchiCAD, but I can't.
Would I need making family? Are there any tips for this family?

I simply want to cut concrete volume ("Isolated","Slab"...) and upperpart out of "Toposurface".

Relating each other is helpful, but it's optional.

Are there any good idea?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

The topography under Existing phase and a building pad under New phase.

Can I make Building pad of concrete volume ("Isolated","Slab"...)?

Relating isn't necessary, but in the beginning, I want to use it because bottom of concrete is complicated...tons of edge, tons of level.
Isn't it available?

You sure can make a building pad the same way as you make floor: concrete, multi layer compound, etc...

Keep in mind these rules when creating building pads: they can share edges but cannot overlap, they must not extend outside of the topo.

Now, I know only [Modiry]-[Draw]-[Pick Lines].
It needs tons of clicks and it dosn't pick level of objects.
Also, in that way, it have only one level on one building pad.

Are there any other functions to get shape...level and edge of objects in a lump?

If there are, Could you tell me how to, or give me links?

What are you wanting to accomplish?

A topoSURFACE does not have a volume to subtract from. Sure, when you cut one in a Section view, you see the Earth material pattern, but Revit uses a posche base functionality to display that. You aren't seeing a real three-dimensional volume. It's a SURFACE.

I imagine you want to see the grade after excavation, with all the grade beam ditches removed and everything like that? You CAN do it with Building Pads and other methods, but I humbly suggest that it's just not worth the effort.

You can have multiple pads on different elevations. Draw them separately and change their Level and/or Height Offset.

For example, in Archicad,
1. Set concrete volume and toposurface object

2. And then click [execute] to [subtraction with upwards extrusion]

3. toposurface curved by concretevolume, and toposurface after excavation left.
(Unfortunately, it doesn’t make slope automatically, anyway.)

Does Revit have function like this?

I imagine and hope it’s available to create building pad same as concrete volume by one click, but isn’t it available? Do I need to set building pad divided into each level? (It seems bother than archicad…

Revit do not have an exact function like what you show. But you can get the same result by using a typical Revit workflow.

- Create a topography under Existing Phase.

- Create Building Pad(s) under New Phase. Anything above the Pads are the volume excavated out of the topo.

- If you need to excavate up and down exactly like how you show with the foundation, create different Pads at different elevations.

- Foundation is normally created above Building Pads, unless you use them as Mat Slabs (not recommended because they are not structural elements so no re-bars, no analytical).

The workflow is helpful,
but actually, I used Floor as WA in this time.

Because I thought it takes labor that >"create different Pads at different elevations" AND make slope on each elevations then.

Besides, [Toposurface] can't use with [Cut Geometry].
so I decided to use void family to cut slope and concrete volume from ground--made by [Floor].

Anyway, I really appreciate your kindness!
I understand what is available/unavailable and how to.
