Oh, now I see what you mean.

In that case, you need to have a new sets of parameters, maybe Yes/No parameters for submissions, one for each milestone. Then check yes or no for each sheet for each submission, then filter the schedule by each milestone for those sheets in which the parameter is yes.

It seems to me that some of these ideas are already possible. Such as:

Allow centre of arch to be visible

Enable components to sit in front of hatching/filled regions

Allow reference lines to be copied & offset

Print particular view ports instead of entire sheets

And maybe some more from that list.

I wonder if Revit has the ability to save templates that determine which sheets appear in a given sheet set. If it isn't currently a feature, it'd be helpful to someone like myself. I am not talking about how you can save which sheets actually plot out in a set. I am talking about changing which sheets appear in a Sheet Set list. In my work, I could be changing back and forth as to what I am publishing for different phases of a project.

So if such a thing exists, hopefully someone will point me to it. Otherwise I would find it to be a helpful feature.

You can create profiles to serve as the "cookie-cutter molds" to shape the different components that are used in a variety of windows "shapes" (e.g. extrusions and/or sweeps for trims, frames, jambs, sashes, muntins, etc.). Shapes such as Marvin's "Ovolo", or "Ogee", or "Square".

This feature already exists.

Suppose your Revit template contains empty sheets for all the series. Then, go to the Print dialog box, and click on "Selected Views / Sheets", then make selections of sheets and save the sets with a name. Then exit and close the file. Those sets will be saved in the file the next time you open it.

That part I have done before as a matter of practice. But what is listed in my Sheet Schedule? I think it would include sheets that aren't in the set, if they are marked as "include in Sheet Schedule".

I think I have to explore the other suggestion regarding filters etc. but thanks for the information.

Oh, now I see what you mean.

In that case, you need to have a new sets of parameters, maybe Yes/No parameters for submissions, one for each milestone. Then check yes or no for each sheet for each submission, then filter the schedule by each milestone for those sheets in which the parameter is yes.

This shows I have a lot to learn still, regarding Revit.

My workflow requires putting out shops drawings for, say, level 1, then 2 weeks later putting out shop drawings for level 2, then perhaps level 4 after that, and then having to do revisions and re-publish for level 1. And so on...

As a consequence I may have several General Notes sheets - one for each level and sometimes for portions of levels - each containing a sheet list. I already know I can call up saved sheet selections when I print, so only the appropriate General Notes sheet is included in the set.

I want to have a sheet list on each of these sheets, but each one filtered for only what is to go with that particular set. I can see it can be done, if I am allowed to have more than one sheet list, and just leave all of the sheets marked as being included in the sheet list (and set up filters for each list's case). It looks like that could be my path forward, if I can have multiple sheet lists.

Is this possible? Does Revit allow it?

Correct. The usual practice is to have one "master" schedule of sheets which is not filtered, and then duplicates of the master list, filtered.

The master schedule is not shown on sheets, and it can be used for project management. That is where you would manage the parameters of the sheets, the yes and no's, etc...

What about a using a method such as is described here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/Revit-DocumentPresent/files/GUID-63DB42D5-BA7B-4AC5-8C61-D3ED83C4BA0D-htm.html

"Sheet Order" as a Number parameter (e.g. 1.1, 1.91, 1.991), then Sort by: "Sheet Order" and Filter by: "Sheet Order" "is less than" And: "is greater than" (i.e. is less than 3.0 And: is greater than 2.0 to show only the 2.XXX sheets).
