Model Text Along a Curved Surface

It would be nice if Autodesk would allow text to be placed on a curved surface in Revit. And not just text but other items where you have to set a plane. Maybe in the next few releases?

I haven't used this workflow personally, but what about doing the Arc-Aligned Text in AutoCAD and then importing it into Revit and exploding it?

Actually, I might use this approach sometime. Heck, if you use a True Type Font, keep it on Layer 0 and have no other crap in the dwg; what's wrong with this approach? It's just explodes into a bunch of individual letters.

It´s difficult to find a software application that has a tool specially designed for every thing we need to do in a project. But if we combine some existing tools, we can find solutions for special cases like this. Below is an example of a text that can be placed on a curved wall, and stay on the wall even if the wall is moved or modifed. Notice that the text follows the curve, and it also has a curve of its own in elevation. It can be done, all with the existing tools in Revit:

Model text family (1) with label nested in an adaptive family (2) nested in a divided spline of another adaptive family (3) hosted on the curved wall? Maybe.

Yes, @ToanDN , that is the process. I noticed today that I had posted something similar in 2013, here:

That post was just referring to a text that follows an arc. This new question is having the text follow the arc and stay put on the wall. So, anyway, as promised, I made the video. It is processing at the moment... I will post it here later. I will share it also in Youtube and Linkedin.

I saw that too, @Alfredo_Medina. I immediately thought of you. I also thought of @Sahay_R, because one post suggested doing it in AutoCAD and importing and expoding it in Revit - which Rina hates! But, I don't see a problem with it. Call me reckless, I guess.
