OK--to avoid re-creating it:

Can you copy the wall and place it a few feet away, then delete the transparent wall, and then move the copy into place?

Does the copied wall stay transparent?

Not sure about the transparency problem with the original wall.

Hi,

I have checked previous posts to no avail.

There is one wall in our model that is showing up as transparent, in both Elevation and 3D.

All other walls of the same wall type appear as solid. I suspect there is something up with the Object because this this is happening in multiple views.

I have checked:

- Visibility Graphics

- Creating a new view

- Object Styles

- Phase Filters

- Material Settings

- Checking Paint (cannot paint new material on surface)

- Match Properties

- De-selecting "Use Hardware Acceleration"

- CAD imports (none in the model)

- Cut & Paste in place

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

Try deleting the wall and placing a new wall. Does the new wall stay transparent? ( You can just do this a a test and the Undo to previous state.)

OK--problem solved?

I think perhaps the old wall had a transparency override applied to it.

I suppose re-building the wall is an option, though a real pain!

Where would you think there is a transparency override?

This problem appears to be assigned to the object rather than the view because it appears in multiple views.

I had the same issue when viewing my kitchen 3d in a realistic graphic view. After checking all the different settings possible I unchecked the phase created on that wall, it was saying it was created in a new phase, changed it to existing and the wall went solid. 😊

I had a similar issue, except that it was only occurring in one view (an enlarged elevation). Adjacent walls of the same type on both sides of the transparent wall displayed correctly. I tried most things the O.P. did, as well as the suggestions from others here, to no avail. I didn't create a new view (the existing one has many keynotes and tags that would have to be recreated), or create a new wall from scratch as the problem wall is angled and has an edited profile that would be cumbersome to recreate (as do adjacent walls that display correctly). These are what I checked:

-There were no graphic overrides

-Changing the view template had no effect (the overall elevation used the same view template, and it displayed correctly there)

-Changing it to another wall type had no effect (changing it back, either by selecting the original type or by matching properties from the adjacent walls that display correctly didn't either)

-Phase was set correctly (new construction) and changing the phase had no effect

-No paint was applied, and neither applying, nor applying and removing, a new material changed the transparency

-Changing the Far Clipping had no effect (this sometimes fixes weird graphic display issues)

-Cut and paste in place had no effect

-Adding and removing a graphic override had no effect on the transparency

I found two things that worked: 1) Creating parts, which isn't a great solution since all the wall layers are then completely separate and could not be reassembled, and 2) moving the elevation plane away from the building. It was far enough back this shouldn't have caused the issue, but for some reason it worked. I can't figure out why. This usually would indicate that the elevation was cutting through the wall or something like that, but that was not the case here.
