Creating Parameters for Annotation Families

I'm trying to understand how parameters works, and I want to create custom families for annotations...

I've found some videos on youtube about shared parameters for Project Info, but I'm want to know if this works:

I've created two floors in differerent elevations, below it's the symbol that I created (it's something that shows the elevation difference)

If I click on in it, it shows the "?" for text edit

So I have to write the text manually, in this case"0,5" and "1,0"...

I wanted to make it automatic, without just edit an elevation symbol, but start it from the begin... Is it possible in Revit?

Unfortunately, Revit ain't that smart. You need to input that parameter value manually.

Why not use the OOTB families? Will a Floor Tag work for you?

In the Floor Tag, you will be able to add parameters for Elevation at a variety of situations.

Is this what you are looking at? (file attached)

As @barthbradley said, Revit is not smart / nice enough to allow you to control this value by custom parameters. Which is why we beat Revit up to make it do what we want....

@Sahay_RIt's looks interesting... but I've never heard about OOB (out Of The box, right?)
I'm looking for this in Google and I will learn how to use it... Maybe it can help me in more stuff (:

In Revit - navigate to the Libraries. that is where you should be able to find a lot of basic families that you can build on. Have you looked st the family that I had sent you? That may be close to what you are looking for.

Oh, now I see!

I couldn't open your file because Im using an old version (2016), but I made something with floor tag and I believe it's the same idea! Actually, this works (basically I change de cross symbol by my new symbol), if I could rotate it in 90° would be perfect!

But is this it! This will help me a lot, in understanding how Revit works.

I'm playing with something similar, and I'm having trouble locating the appropriate words to search and solve my problem. But in crude layman terms, my little "?" isn't affected by changing my label parameter...so I don't think I've linked the parameter with the annotation...?? How would one do that? Or what else might be my problem?
