Is Revit 2016 INcompatible with Windows 10?

I installed it for one of my users (and reinstalled it) and he can't zoom on images and there are flickering boxes in the lower right corner.

Someone else had this problem and "solved" it by going back to Win 7. I'd rather not do that if possible.

Is there a way to make Revit 2016 work in Win 10?

Yes, Windows 10 is not compatible, you will need Microsoft® Windows® 7 SP1 64-bit:
Windows 7 Enterprise, Ultimate, Professional, or Home Premium

Microsoft® Windows® 8 64-bit:
Windows 8 Enterprise, Pro, or Windows 8

Microsoft® Windows® 8.1 64-bit:
Windows 8.1 Enterprise, Pro, or Windows 8.1

Is there a work around?

Or a plan to make it compatible with the current version of Windows?

Revit 2015 and 2016 work fine with Windows 10 Pro build 1803 here.

Hrm. That's what is on two of the machines we've tested.

Did you have the trouble with zooming on drawings or the flickering in the bottom right corner?

If so, was there a fix?

We might have to resort to running it inside a virtual machine. 😞

Check your display scaling factor. Revit seems to have an issue if the scale factor hits 200% and above.

We run Revit from 2013 to 2018 in all computers in the office and the dominant number of projects are under still 2015 and 2016. All are Windows 10 Pro and updated to the latest build. None report any flickering problems. But we are not using any super duper 2.5K, 4K, 5K monitors, only FHD 1920 x 1080 or 1900 x 1200.

I turned the resolution way down (1920 something) and still get the flickering.

Setting the scaling to 100% makes for teensy tiny icons.

Not sure how to get a sceenshot of the flickering or that it won't zoom/pan properly. I could work on making some video but that might take a while.

We have a major project which was started with Revit 2016 and C4R and the client intends to keep all phases going forward (another 2 years or more) in 2016 format. Due to the size of the project we're exploring some new computers with solid state drives. They seem to be struggling with Windows 7. They are sold with Windows 10.

Bottom line: What did you find out about Revit 2016's compatibility with Windows 10.
