Dividing and merging surfaces

Hello, I'd like to divide a mass surface into two surfaces to apply different patterns to each, is there a way to achieve that?

Thanks for your reply! I should have been more specific: I want to use an arc or a spline to divide the surface; unfortunately, adding an edge doesn't help in my case. Is there a way to split the surface like using intersects but the result would be two new surfaces?

Duplicate the mass family, edit and add a void to cut one half. Edit the other one and cut the opposite half.

Hi @Anonymous

That's a cool effect that you are trying to create.

Another workaround is to use Repeat and divide curved panels in a curtain wall system for the facade.
