Publishing coordinates to a linked Revit file

I have a very problematic file just now. This solution with eTransmit worked as a 1 hit but any further attempts to publish to the new central file still fail.

I've followed all the processes listed above - detached and resaved the central file, reset shared coordinates, detached all RVT and DWG files, purged, audited... same error every time.

Definitely something hooky going on with this....

This is what Steve Stafford shared with me when I had issues:

Building Model: Make sure you have a Local File for it (I save to my own PC)
Site Model: Change the saved path to the Building's Central File to your own Local File instead
Site Model: Publish Coordinates
Site Model: SwC (should succeed and get a prompt to Save changes to the linked file)
Site Model: Close
Building Model: Open your existing Local File SwC (passes shared coordinate data to central)
Building Model: Close
Site Model: Reset the path for the Building to the central location

Any future Publish Coordinates, if necessary, should work after that.

Just change the model names to model #1 and model #2 if not dealing with building and site models.

Currently, your issue is in progress and a Problem report has been created.

I have parsed your journal and investigating the data for corrupt elements and the cause of this behavior.

The next step will reproducing the error and this will be further looked into by the development team.

Please try the below steps and let me know if this resolves your issue:

Deleting the columns and resaving the model allows the coordinate changes to be saved. Column element ID’s:

4405437,4405760,4405786,4405798,4405811,4405812,4405813,4405814,4405908,4593740,4600086,4670855,4670999,4671102,4671271,4671370,4671477,4671540,4671661,4671714,4671787,4671840,4671937,4672050,4672103,4672200,4672303,4672360,4672559,4672638,4672819,4738118,4738407,4738445,4738490,4738543,4738593,4738633,4738679,4738680,4738681,4738682,4738683,4738684,4738685,4738692,4738693,4738694,4738695,4738696,4738697,4738698,4738745,4738746,4738747,4738748,4738749,4738750,4738751,4738894,4738895,4738896,4738897,4738898,4738899,4738900

Also, cut and paste the columns into a new file and link it in instead

(that will allow them to stay isolated but keep the geometry.

Apologies I've been out and about all week so not had a chance to check this yet. However I have a couple of questions;

how did you identify there was an issue with the columns that were listed?
what is the issue with the columns that are listed?
is there a way the columns can be fixed rather than deleting them?

The corrupt elements were identified internally by the development team.

I would suggest that you cut and paste the columns into a new file and link it in instead.
