Revit 2018.3 LT freezing / not responding when inputting Sheet Issues/revisions

Hi everyone

I'm hoping someone can assist us with a few issues we are experiencing within the office at present.

2 colleagues whom are using Revit LT are experiencing freezing/not responding when attempting to fill in the Sheet Issues/Revisions page.

We also experience regular issues among all users (6 in total) when attempting to save. Revit will issue a "failed to save" warning or "Unable to Access the Model" warning. I am wondering if all these issues are linked and somehow related to a server issue our end with Revit hanging when attempting to Autosave or save on command. Typically the models are saved to a project folder stored on a central server with users accessing from off of the server. - Note that we are not using work sharing with any of these models.

Id like to hear if others have experienced the same issues and how this was overcome.

Hi Sally

No we never got an answer to this but have since changed servers as we thought this was part of the course.

We still get the issue but only on one job for 1 particular user. its a pain and we would like to know what causes this.

We are getting this too. It's not only user specific but also job specific. Most of my jobs are problem free but then there are two in particular that have issues. Originally I discovered that Revit was trying to save at the same time as I was creating a revision so I was manually saving and then creating the revision and that sorted it. More recently that's not helping at all.

We are still having this ongoing issue.

Any further updates on this issue at all? We seem to have a similar issue with one specific user who experiences random crashes (Revit just pops with nothing shown in the Journal files) when simply creating a new Revision.

Still no solution im afraid. No word from autodesk and no explanation as to why the error occurs.

If anyone has any updates we would be very keen to hear more.

If you can, try upgrading to 2019. Revit 2018 was the Windows Vista of Revit versions.....

I too am getting this same problem with Revit freezing and crashing when inputting revisions

it is not happening on every project I use but at least 50% of the time to the fact that I always save now before doing a revision but it is quite frustrating

can someone at Autodesk please look into this issue please

I'm having the issue on both Revit 2018 and 2019, on several workstations and several projects.
