How can I force Revit to use new changes at stair's edit type?

I have a stair after increasing its "Minimum Tread Depth" from 10" to 11" the stair doesn't change and I should redraw it! I have this problem (increase/decrease) with most of the stair's variables at edit type which have max or min in their name.

You don't have to delete the entire stair. Just edit it and replace old runs with new runs.

please watch this screencast. I wanted to change all step's Tread Depth from 275 to 300. in many cases we need change total stair or one run.

Are you meaning that you want to change the riser height for just one flight in the total run? No can do?

You cannot change the tread depth once a run is drawn. Edit the stair, delete the old runs and draw the new runs.

it is not good!

many times the client or architect asks to draw stairs with 30 cm Tread (or riser height or ....) after some process he/she change his mind and ask another number we should redraw that stair! 😞

Autodesk should solve it!

You can change the tread depth, but it will affect the overall run, obviously.

I have a stair with 7 steps with 18 cm riser height without redraw please change the riser height to 17.5

I can but it doesn't change the stair's shape see the video. after changing the stair doesn't change

Maybe your stair is by sketches? I just tested and changing the stair Actual tread depth will do it.

If we need to change entirely the stair it is much better to remove and redraw the total stair?

Sorry, but I'm not understanding something here. Why is is necessary to redraw the stairs? I would agree that's probably the best approach, but it isn't necessary. Adjust the Max. Riser Height and the Relative Top Height and the existing stairs will meet the new rules.

No! I draw by stair command. it depends you increase or decrease because it says minimum

Let to do a task. please

1- draw a one-run stair with 7 steps with 18cm height for each step

go to 3d view

2-select the stair

3-click on the edit type and change the riser height to 18.5 cm and press apply

4- The 3d model doesn't change

Here is a screencast answering your question about changing the tread depth. Riser height is based on the Desired stair height and min/max range so you need to look at them too.

thank it the solution for tread. how about riser height it is't at property window.
as you see in your video before changing the property the stair doesnt change

I think I understand what @Anonymous is asking now. Does he want to modify the riser height and have Revit automatically redo the the tread depth to maintain the extents of the run???
