To do that I have to create two seperate views and different templates so I can export the model and fill regions seperately, right? Or is there an easier way? Also, is combining those files time consuming (like aligning etc.) or just copy and paste?

Hello. I've been modelling a ribbed floor in revit. I use filled region between beams in the beam system. When I do that, filled region borders and beam edges overlap and when I export to dwg, beam edges are gone. I tried enabling the "preserve coincident lines" option but then it messes the other parts of the project. I tried making the borders of the fill region invisible but it still doesn't allow beam edges to export. I tried sending it backward but that also didn't work. I was wondering if there is a way to prioritize model lines over annotation lines when exporting to dwg? Or any other solution? Thanks.

I'd model the waffle slab with a floor and beams, using Join Geometry to make it appear monolithic.

Exporting to DWG is translation. With the option you get lines and without Revit removes the lines. That means they either overlap or when you turn of a layer there are gaps. Preserving the coincident lines gives you more options but you have to wrestle with the output result in AutoCAD. Ultimately, exporting to DWG is not just a better way to make DWG files, it's a translation from one format to another, fidelity will always be a concern.

Hello

The Moment there are Detail Lines, Fill region on plan, elevation etc. the Export DWG completely

collapses the line type..

Model in 3D as much as possible, and everything in Correct Revit Category..

1.Exporting in Wireframe mode will export everything and you might need bit of clean up to those DWG files.

2. or Export drawings in stages / parts.. First 3D elements, Second Fill region, detail items etc...

this may be little cumbersome but will give good results and clear drawings..

Cheers!

Why not export two views?

One for just the regions and one for the model and then combine the files afterward.
