The metal panel is currently just a sweep built into the wall family. I've tried using a model in place void to cut the sweep but it won't work, I can cut the wall but not the sweep.

Good Morning,

I was curious if it was possible to cut a sweep built into a wall? I have metal panels wrapping the exterior of the building, but as you can see from the attached image it is protruding through the roof. Can I do this easily or must I create a model in place extrusion then cut it out from there?

Is the metal panels a loadable family?

-If so you could create an angle in the panels inside the family

-You could use a face base void family

-You could use a model in-place void

Doing it inside the family will be best if you have many panels to place and if you intend to use it in several projects

I'm using sweeps built into the wall family because this is the simplest way for the sweep to cut around all the wall inserts. When I use the manually inputted wall sweep function the sweeps won't cut around wall inserts.
