I apologize if this may be a duplicate post but I couldn't find anyone with a similar question.

I posted a screenshot of my problem below but basically I wanted to know if there is a way for Revit to automatically orient the tags based on the door opening without the need for me to manually adjust / rotate them.

In the screenshot below (first one), you can see that I want the tags to always face opposite of the door opening. By default, Revit places the tags on the same side no matter which side the door is facing (second prntscr).

Thank you.

The placement I needThe default Revit placement.

Hi

Door tag don't recognise the Door panel orientation or opening direction,

also Door tag don't recognise the the Exterior or interior side of Wall..

options for what you are looking for is

While placing Tag, use free end and place the tag wherever you require...

Door TagThat problem is cause of Door Tag - Category Tag restriction of only TWO ORIENTATIONS. tag doesn't rotate as per elements angle..

1. Horizontal or

2. Vertical

so what you are looking for wont work in Door 5, and Door 8 situations...

You can rotate tags with doors ...go in edit family and check rotate with component. But i have kind of different problem - posting a Picture - I need the text in door tag facing the other way - mirrored.

I couldn't find any solution for this but I hope it is possible. Thanks for any tips
