Hi js.

Are you willing to share that Revit model (just the room) or at last the glass/window family so I can test it with the fix we are working on?

We have standard windows in our test cases. If specific manufacturers windows cause troubles we'd like to take a look.

Hi every one, after the new update on the Cloud rendering, i have experinced a major difference from my old renderings to my new ones.
It seems like revit has messed up my lightning, and all my materials have changed to be much more neautral.
Does anyone have the same problems ?
New renderingOld rendering

Hi js.

We would like to investigate the difference you are seeing. We think it might be due by the new renderer filtering. The complex light paths of this specific case might cause extra light noise that is then removed leaving it darker overall.

If you can share the Revit file (even the single room above, as long as it shows the issue) please let me know at roberto.ziche@autodesk.com.

You can try to change the windows glass material to a new Glazing if you have Revit 2019, or solid glass if you have older version. Make sure there is no roughness on the material. Even a tiny amount could create noise. But that might not be the issue, and having the scene would allow us to identify the exact cause and solution.

Hi Zicher2
I have now found out, that the problem is the glass.
I am working in Revit LT 2018 and using the subcategory for the glass in the sliding doors.
Do you have a solution for me to change det glass in my 18 version, without having to upgrade to 19 yet ?
However, after reading the update notes, i won't say that i can see much difference in the noise on surfaces like metal, glass and other blank/glossy surfaces.
I hope there will be a 2.0 soon, so there will be a difference to see in the renderings from before to after.

In Revit 2018 you can try to switch to Solid Glass if you are using Glazing now. Alternatively, use a transparent Generic material. None of them with any roughness. For the color go with clear (Custom->255,255,255) or very light tints, as the cloud renderer will darken the color quite a bit until we figure out a better way to estimate it.

Hi zicher. i am afraid that it does not have any/little effect changing the glass.
It seems like your setup removes the light beam/cone totally from the picture, and i dont think that is comparabel to the real world.
Further more, it is even worse for me, becaus i use 2 layers of glass, becaus i am using Thermo glass.
So i really hope there will be a fix soon.
