Please use what I have fixed in the Revit file and copy it around if you need. I don't have time right now to demonstrate some workaround that you only need to do one in your life. A better way is finding a correct family on the internet and use it. There are plenty of light post families out there, just google "lamp post revit family".

I would advice to rotate it in the family. Is it a imported family or native Revit?

If imported: you can probably rotate it in an elevation.

If native Revit: you have to model it again in the right direction.

Your family is modeled laying flat on the ground. I change it to Work plane based & Not always vertical so that I can host it on a vertical reference plane in project. It works for this one but you really should have modeled it correctly in the first place.

How can I find the correct plan to haven't subsequently the same problem?

I find only this model in template.

What ToanDN did, was drawing a reference plane. You can set that reference plane as the work plane and place your model. But note that it is really a workaround. It would be better to model it correctly in your family.

Advice: Just model a lantern yourself, so you learn Revit ánd have a better family, this one is unusable 🙂
