Hi All,

I'd like to make the attached symbol in Revit, but I can't get it as I like it.

It has to be a annotative symbol with a white background.

Can someone tell how I can make it possible?

I've tried several things:

- Import it with solid hatches from AutoCAD (White solids become black)

- Import in symbol and explode (Line length to small)

- Import only the red hatch and add filled region in Revit (Draworder problems)

Thanks in advance

Greetz Bjørn Mengerink

Not real sure what your problem is. Import the DWG into a generic annotation family, trace over it with filled regions, then delete the DWG when you're done.

I also tried to export only the red on a ACAD wipeout.

Didn't work. (Wipeout went invisible)

Tried to scale up the drawing but I can't scale filled region so the block is way to big.

Tried colours not completely white. 254,254,254 or even 249,251,253

Tried adding a region under the inserted block. Not working region always stays on top of the autocad block. Even with front color and back color

Another approach:

- Create Generic annotation family A and import the logo DWG with only the white hatch in. Let it be black, that's fine. Set the family to Shared.

- Create another Generic annotation family B with a red Filled region, then load A in and place on top of the Fill region.

- Load B in your project, TAB to select the black part (you can do it because it is a shared family) and override it to white.

While the border is black in the titleblock, when placed in a project you can override the border layer in object styles under imports in Families. So you can make it white, gray whatever...

Hello
In the Revit environment, the software does not accept a line shorter than 1mm, but it allows snapping it to another object even if the distance between the objects is less than 1mm. Therefore, we often use this trick to fill a small region such a electrical mark as.
For example: Attached mark is an annotation mark and I need fill 3 areas, but the filled Region cannot display in the view except a wire frame viewing level in Revit. So I am goging to draw many short lines to filled these region.

step1: draw a line more than 1 mm
step2: Select the line and move to snap the start/end point of that line to target filled region, then trim the outside length part. copy that line to beside with smallest space, it's automatic snap inside the filled region.
