FILE DIDNT PRINT

trying to print a job..small job.. two pages, small kitchen renovation. I am getting a message saying... FILE DIDNT PRINT. also getting a message saying FIlE DID NOT SAVE.

Start with Print Setup.

dont know why i didnt try that... but now that i have, i can see that my pdf programs are gone... nothing. so i go recover my pdf plotter. might work.

what about FILE NOT SAVED ?

"File not Saved"? What do you mean, George? Also, is your PDF Printer showing under Window Devices?

i mean....when i try to print i instantly get the FILE DID NOT PRINT message.. when i try to save.. i instantly get FILE DID NOT SAVE... I need to reboot the computer but I will lose a good bit of what i have..

Since upgrading to 2020, i have had no issues.. i have started new projects as well as upgraded some and done some printing... this is new... and i dont like it.

here's an update...

since i was not able to save the file... i was still able to open it in the 2019 version... and i can print from there. So I lost about an hour of work.. i will try the 2020 thing again later with a duplicate file.

I think your Revit 2020 is under Viewer Mode.

update... I was able to go finish my project in 2019 and print...done.

So I just went back in to 2020 to continue on a project that I started in 2020 yesterday... everything is fine.. I can print and I can save..

Apparently something went wrong during the upgrade process of the other file. I do know it took way too long to get it to upgrade and open. I was regretting that I hadnt opened it in 2019 where it was created.. At least I didnt lose the file.
