You can also use a plan region to change the cut plane for a specific area on the plan.

View>Plan Views>Plan Region

Then the area you've boxed will have cut plane, view range, ect. controlled independently from the rest of the plan.

Hi,

I'm having issues with a model in-place component not showing up in the plan view. I've checked all the visual graphics settings and have adjusted all the view range settings but can't seem to get it to show up on any of my floor plans regardless of levels. Screen shot attached. Please help!

Cheers,

Stephen

I've just now managed to get it to show up on my second storey by adjusting the view range but still can't get it to show on the floor plan where I need it to show.

Try to check the component elevation. because usually plan view is hiding any elements above 1.5 meters

Yeah, after more fiddling with the view range I've found that it's the cut plane level that is preventing it from being shown, but if I raise it high enough to include it then it's too high to show any doors and windows. Is there a way to show items that are above the cut plane but show them in dashed lines ?

You can use plan region for that elements.

Or you can use underlay to show the element, then use Linework to pick it with dashed line, then turn the underlay off.

Or draw Detail Lines. 🙂

I've figured it out now, thank you for your help. I've turned the underlay on for the upper level and then selected the lines I want to show as overhead lines via the modify line styles function.

Cheers,

Stephen
