Hi,

I have created a passive fire protection collar for pipe running through slabs as a generic face based family.

Is there a way for me to set it so that it can adjust size by referencing a pipe?

Would it be possible to set it as a plumbing product and have it assigned to a pipe so I can set perimeters for its size?

Thanks

Chris

You know, if you built it as a Floor-Hosted Family, you could make your SlabDepth Parameter a Reporting Parameter and have Revit automatically input the Slab Depth that the component instance is Hosted to in the Project. To do this, just pull a Dimension between the Top and Bottom of the Host Floor in the Family, and label it with the SlabDepth Parameter. FWIW.
