Isometric Hatch/Patterns not appearing on Exported DWG on AutoCAD

Firstly, I made hatches/patterns on my wall:

Then, I open it up on AutoCAD after exporting with Revit to DWG. But the Hatches doesnt show on the Isometric (3D) I exported to AutoCAD:

Anyone knows? It seems like ONLY WAY to get the hatches to stay on the Model is:

- Print as PDF

- Open from Illustrator

- Save Illustrator as DWG

Which is a tedious process AND it wont be a model in AutoCAD any longer. It will just remain as a flat drawing...

This is not what I meant. I am not trying to get the Hatches to use in autocad.

What I meant was, I want my Isometric View (Revit) with its corresponding Isometric Pattern/Hatch to be imported TOGETHER into AutoCAD. I made sure the hatches are available in AutoCAD too.

But the problem is - On Plans / Elevations the Hatches will show. Whereas on ANY 3D Views, including my standard Isometric View, the Hatch will NOT SHOW in AutoCAD.

Why? 😞

Hatch patterns wont get attached to 3D geometry DWG exports. They will only will be attached to a 2D (place your 3D on a sheet and export the sheet). It looks like what you are using is a 3D Geometry CAD?

Can someone else verify this - I just tested and it didn't attach any surface patterns to the walls on a 3D export but did on 2D.

For 2D issues... I'd check/test a couple things.

#1 Try with a different PAT file. AutoCAD has stricter .PAT rules and may be not allowing the pattern to show up. This most likely is not the case as that looks like a simple one.

#2 Check your view scale settings and all that in CAD... it might be there, the settings for units or something else might be way off and you can't see it replicate in that short distance.

#3 Check your export DWG/DXF settings under Walls > Surface Pattern. See where that is going and anything that might look funky there.

It doesnt work as well... I am now in shock because I think Revit DOES NOT support Hatches/Patterns in 3D View (Only 2D)!!!

Just to clarify, export sheet and then open the 3D view that is exported with it.

I don't know what you mean. Just did this test for you. Hatches are there.

What version of Revit are you using?

But what u did was export the SHEET right? What I want is the model. Not Sheet.

BECAUSE, sheet will just be a flat drawing on AutoCAD. I want an "Interactive" Model which U can rotate however u want like how usually u would export a Revit 3D Model View into AutoCAD.

But the PROBLEM HERE IS:

Hatches doesnt get exported with 3D Model View into AutoCAD....

That's a tidy number of bricks. This suggests there may be an impediment arising from :

Hatch pattern too dense

If a hatch pattern is not visible in the exported DWG file, and the message "Hatch Pattern Too Dense" displays in the AutoCAD text window, try adjusting the AutoCAD system variable HPMAXLINES to increase the maximum number of hatch lines that are generated in a hatch operation. For more information, see the AutoCAD Help.

I am starting to think it is true... Revit cannot export Hatches/Patterns along with its model in 3D View to AutoCAD... 😞
