topic Scale Topography in Revit Architecture Forum

Just imported a .dwg topography file and it came in fine but I'm not able to scale it.
Not sure if this is because of the way I imported it or what. Via the research I've done it seems that I should be able to scale it no problem.

I've attached the project file in case anyone want's to have a look at it.
The google maps image is the exact same image I used in SketchUp to create the topography and is the proper scale. Just need the topography map to match.

You need to link the CAD file in with the correct Units. If you link it in without choosing the units and want to scale it, select the CAD link, edit type and change it there.

Why not scale it in ACAD?

...or scale the CAD in Revit before creating your Toposurface from it.

No AutoCAD in this office.

Not sure what you mean by scaling the CAD before creating topo.
I created the topo map in SketchUp by pulling in the location from google maps and then exporting that as a .dwg.

Are you saying that you did not create a Toposurface from a CAD import instance (the SKP to DWG)?

Yes you need the DWG link to edit type to scale it. Just link it back again but choose the correct units this time. It may be just that.

I just looked at your DWG and RVT files. Your RVT Toposurface matches precisely the extents/size of the DWG's Topo. If the scale is off, it's because it was drawn incorrectly at the source (e.g. Sketchup). I don't see how Import Units or Linking will correct. You would need to either redo it in Sketchup or, if you don't have AutoCAD, manually scale the DWG in Revit prior to creating a Toposurface from it.
