Shared parameter does not show up

Good afternoon, Here I go again.

Thank you in advance for your responses, sorry that I do not have much time to say thank you to every each of you in a separate message, but be assured that I feel kinda happy and thanked for your effort to clear my doubts and concerns. you guys have been my mentors for a long period of time here. Please excuse any grammar discrepancy as English is not my primary language.

I created a shared parameter called "Consultant-General Contractor" in my Project file, BUT, when I open the project parameters dialog box and when I go to the family, the new shared parameter does not show up in the list and, obviously, I cannot edit/associate/create the potential new label.

any suggestions please?

The shared parameter created is loaded inside the project only. To add it to a family you should add it by clicking on below symbol and select shared and select the parameter from the list of shared parameters.

Same for project parameters, you should click add and select shared then select your parameter from the list.

@MostafaElashmawy Good morning thank you. I was making this a year ago for my Family parametric title block and I totally forgot.

One more question please:

I have the shared parameters file, my created library of families and a shortcut to the default Revit family folders in one location: they are inside of my first Revit project folder and I have created shortcuts to this master folder on the folder of new projects..... I want to have ONLY 1 shared parameters file and one master families folder for my entire array of projects.... I would like to move this master folder into a central location instead of being hosted in a project folder but I am afraid to create a mess, it's that possible please?

It should put you at ease by knowing that the Shared Parameter Text File is not needed by the existing Families that are using Shared Parameters from the SP Text file. There is no link maintained between the Shared Parameters in the Text File and the Shared Parameters in the Families. You could actually delete the Shared Parameter Text File and it would have no affect on the existing Families that are sharing parameters from that text file. Of course, I wouldn't recommend this since you cannot recreate existing Shared Parameters. Shared Parameters are unique because of their GUID -- not their name.

The point I'm making is that you can move your SP Text File anywhere you like, as often as you like.

The reason they call it a SHARED parameter is that it can be loaded into multiple files or at least the three files you need it to be in: the model, the family, AND the tag family.
