In which units (imperial or metric) the exam "Autodesk Revit Certification Professional" will take place?

*During the registration process there was no information about it.

the new format for the Revit Architectural ACP exam is not a Practical test. you will not be opening the software to do anything. it is all procedural questions.

We ran an exam last week and the user taking the exam was able to select Metric.

In the UK the Autodesk Certified Professional exam is still a practical exam and you have Revit open.

Interesting.... i took it at AU last year (2019). i know not all the tests were updated yet, but assumed since one was done they would have pushed it out everywhere. Good to know 🙂

Personally, i prefer the practical exam. i think its a better judge of your experience with the software.

Totally agree, not only do you have to know how, but you actually have to do something to get the answer.

when i took the "new", non practical, test i commented on it that it we great for someone who just took a class and only knew the book knowledge. i told them i have been using Revit for 21yr and haven't done it the book way for at least 19yr. LOL

i'm all about Cheap and Easy.... what i typically do is get the exam details and objectives that lists all the categories it tests on. it should be available from the Certiport website. Use the Autodesk Help tools in the software and look up each category and get familiar with each one.

Thanks for sharing this information! so I wasn't shocked today and ready for a question exam.

- Be aware it is a questions exam only,

- No Revit window open,

- You don't have to choose between Metric or Imperial (this has nothing to do with the questions)

- I might share the number of questions but I'm afraid it could be a disclosure

Yesterday I contacted GMETRIX- they told their simulation (practice test) is up to date... well in Canada not up to date probably

I don't know if they have changed it globally or not but I'd like Autodesk to share this with us or at least with Gmetrix...

I've just got a reply from Gmetrix.

the exam offered through Pearson VUE - the one I took is questions only

(by the way a lot cheaper in my City compared to Certiport's , slightly uncomfortable for me as I was expecting the practical one )

the exam offered through Certiport- is practical (requires Revit window) as they wrote.

It is about ACP Revit for Architectural Design ACP_01301

(English is my 3rd language so when it comes to phrases I might misunderstand something but I also have less Revit experience compared to Autocad. I passed ACP Autocad Architecture in september 2019, the practical-Certiport's one 1000/1000, for this one Gmetrix was of great help)

On Certiport site, in Autodesk Certified Professional Search they have:

1-Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit® For Architecture (this I suppose is the practical exam type, certiport's exam)

2-Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit® for Architectural Design (this is the Pearson VUE's exam, question type)

So these are considered different 😞 I didn't know... so if you search for professionals and select

''Revit® For Architecture'' you won't find the professionals who have passed the Revit® for Architectural Design exam

I don't think employers use this search engine to find professionals so it might have a small impact on this...

I've just written this to add the latest subtitle differences , hope this will help someone deciding, but for me it's more confusing now :).
