Cannot run Export IFC window in Revit 2018

Hi all Autodesk experts,

After install IFC 2018 in Autodesk app:

I cannot run Export IFC window. After press IFC Export icon on File -> Export -> IFC, it freezed my Revit, I cannot select anything.

I tried to press Window + tab and see that it was there with the white window.

I have already uninstalled and install again Revit 2018 + IFC 2018 but cannot solve the problem.

Please tell me how to fix it.

Does this occur in all projects - do you have the same problem if you try to export a new blank project?

Perhaps try to uninstall the IFC app and see if the native Revit IFC exporter gives the same problem. Trying these may narrow down the problem.

Dear Tim,

It occurs in all projects.

I try to uninstall IFC 2018 and run native IFC of Revit, It runs OK.

It just occurs when I installed IFC 2018 on Autodesk App Store.

But my colleage doesn't have this problem. Just only me.

Hi,

I am having the same issue with Revit 2019, and trying to find a solution.

I don't even get the IFC tab open. Revit just freezes with any file I go and try to export as an IFC. I installed and uninstalled the plug-in to see if that would work, but the problem still continues.

Are you working with two screens?

What I found out was if you have two screens connected, switch them around in the display settings. Change the sequence around that they are currently on.

After that try exporting and see what happens. My window would disappear and I could not see where the dialog box was opening. Once I changed the screens then it worked.
