Use pick up line with an autocad imported file

Hello guys, I tried to create a profile family using the cross-section of the shape of a rail which I have in an autocad file (I have it in an pdf file also). My intention was to use the file as a template and use the "pick up line" tool of the family editor to create the profile and then using with a rail to model a railway. The problem is that it won't work, the command don't recognize or select any line, and I find the drawing line by line very hard, is there a way that I might accomplish what I need without drawing it line by line? Is the AutoCAD Profile created with AutoCAD Linework?

Hello! no, it isn't, I imported a pdf into autocad, then I scaled it

A PDF? No wonder you can't select lines. There is no lines to select. Just pixels. Revit doesn't do pixels.

Export the PDF to DWG using illustrator or the like, then import that DWG in your revit family to trace/simplify.

No... I imported the pdf to cad, then in cad I built the profile as a whole polyline, and then that file is the one that i exported to revit, I'm attaching the file so you can see.

A spline? I don't think Revit can pick it. You need to draw it in AutoCAD as polyline or lines/arcs.
