How to offset a window towards the exterior?

So I created the siding on a wall using sweet in the wall editor. It looks ok but the windows is constrained to the face of the fall. How can I off set it with two inches so that it is flushed the the siding? see image.

I assume you use Join geometry from the window hosted wall to the siding. That should cut your siding wall according to your window opening. However if the window trim fall outside the window opening, the cut won't happen. So your best bet is to add parameter to the window trim depth so it can side proud of 2" away from siding. Post the family if you need help with this.

You can technically offset window using the curtainwall trick. This means you need the curtainwall to host wall as a panel and then have window place on that wall. When you move the curtainwall, it will offset the window.

May I make a suggestion. Trim around the Window at Exterior Wall Face and stop Wall Sweeps at Window Trim. Note: set Wall Sweep "Default Setback" equal to width of Window Exterior Trim. This is common construction.

I can't select the sweep with the wall.

You don't need select the sweep. Just set the Setback Distance to equal the width of the Window Trim. Revit will do the rest of the heavy lifting automatically.

I've create an example how to achieve what you want. Basically i would go with the curtainwall window host trick. It allows you to offset the window. See attached
