At last, I got what I wanted to see, but I don't like the method I used to make it. That's why I won't share it. So, the question still is open. If someone finds an effective method to solve this task and share it in this forum, I appreciate it.

Hi there,

I'd like to ask for a recommendation on how to solve the task in Revit. I'm doing the lobby staircase structure, and I can't find a way on how to build a complicated support beam. The family member is failed, and I tried to make it as a model-in-place element. I couldn't build this stringer as one element, and I tried to build it from two or more elements, but I stuck on applying void elements that don't work. Could you help me and show me the right way for a solution?
I've attached the file with a piece of the model I work with.

Thank you.

Questions:

Why does the stringer need to be "one element"? If the stringer has curved slopes and flat portions, it is probably going to be built in pieces. No? What if it has some seams?

Why are you modeling with model in place? Did you configure the stairs properties to have stringers and that didnt' work?

Have you tried to do it in another way, such as top rail with a profile?

Why does the stringer need to be "one element"? If the stringer has curved slopes and flat portions, it is probably going to be built in pieces. No? What if it has some seams?

As I said, I tried to build it with two or more elements but I couldn't because void elements didn't work. I have to cover the extra extrusion because I picked the 3D edge and in this case, I can't correct the geometry of the picked line.
I have uploaded the model, anybody can check what I have done and try to do something else.

Why are you modeling with model in place? Did you configure the stairs properties to have stringers and that didnt' work?
Have you tried to do it in another way, such as top rail with a profile?

First of all, I tried to use the properties of the stairs family. Everything work if stairs not complicated, so to say straight. Also, I have some conditions from the architect, for example, both stringers have to be at the same level, like the top sides have to be 2 inches above the concrete slab. Also, at the bottom, the stingers have to get extend over the first step for four inches. The properties of the stair family don't let me do so. It's why I started to use the model-in-place.

In addition, if you take a dive into the model, you'll find that some upper steps don't connect to the bent stringer correctly, even if get to use a family top rail with a profile. I also cover this bug using model-in-place elements.

So if I understand you correctly, you want a continuous curved support of a uniform depth. That's quite a design challenge. It would take me some time to figure out. One thing for certain: it's not happening with the current stairs.

Something like that. You can also use the uploaded model to figure it out.
One more interesting thing I met doing this model. This staircase has two stairways and a pad between. Now, in the uploaded model, the right stringer goes by one radius. But the first version of it had two radiuses, where the right stringer of the first stairway had one radius of bent, and the stinger of the pad and the second stairway had another radius of bent. When I tried to build stringer using model-in-place and used the default top rail with a profile to make the 3D line for the model-in-place member at the output I got the twisted profile, even if I used the swept blend for each part of this beam instead of sweep. I hope, I explained it understandably.
