Skylight visible on the level below

Hello
I am trying to create a family that would be visible in the floor plan below.
I'd like its outline and opening direction to be visible on the floor plan and roof plan.
I am enclosing the family that I was able to do. I am happy with it, but I still cannot see the opening line on the roof plan. Do you have any ideas on how to improve it? Perhaps there is a better solution?

Your family project outline works if the roof is flat. If the roof is sloped, the outline won't work.

Thanks for your reply.
What I'd like to achieve is to see an orange line on the roof plan in the same position as on the level 1.

I could do thhis whit annotation lines, but as you rightly pointed out it won't work on a sloped roof. That is why I use model lines.

Of course I could do it in a dynamo, but it would be too cumbersome.

The orange dashed lines are showing up in the same position in both Floor Plan and Roof Plan on my end.

well, unfortunately mine doesn't show an orange line on the roof (level 2).

Well, sure they don't in Hidden Mode. They are covered up by your window 3D geometry. Change the View to Wireframe and they will show.

I can give you a tip.

I had troubles with skylight indeed because if roof is in slope issue will appear in its own rapresentation.

*Usually I model the skylight support using wall family and steel beam.

*I model the Dome separatelly as Generic model (Note NO face based).

*In floor plan I use Underlay to display the support and Linework>Overhead to show correctly the Skylight.

Draw another set of swing lines on the interior surface of the glass pane.

It will give different location if the roof is slope.
