Revit parametric arrays with changing height of each element

Hey there,

I have an issue with parametric arrays in revit I have created array of a nested family which is changing its no. of elements by a length, but now i want to do some tricky thing here that i have array in a sloped condition where i want elements to fix the bottom but my top is changing, but as we know arrayed elements are in group so how can i make the top constrain to fix at certain height and bottom will be according to slope.

You can't. An Array is a copy. One for all and all for one. You might be able to get there by editing the profile of a Curtain Wall though. FWIW.

@barthbradley Thanks for the reply, but in my case curtain panel will not work because i have one family made of multiple nested ones and that merged family i am trying to manipulate in a main family so i think it is not possible to do like that am i correct?

You can nest that family into a baluster ... then use Railing to create that slanted bottom and flat top alignment.

Balusters' Base should be attached to Host and the sketch section at the Ramp/Slope should be set to Flat. Once done, unpin top rail and delete it to end up only with the balusters.

But in your case you are adding that baluster family to project and use a railing command. but in my case i am nesting that family into another family. so i think in family environment i cant do that

Yes Sure but i don't have the final one, but i have one parent family with slope and the family i want to constraint its already nested so you can try your hands on.

All I can tell from what you have posted is that family is a set of Vertical supports that look and function like balusters. Even that slopped element hosting the supports can be part of the Baluster/railing...

But again...who knows maybe you have further plans and more components to model in that family beside those vertical posts.
