Revit Callouts and Intrsecting Views

So I'm running into this weird problem with Revit's Callouts. If I use them in Plan View I can make them visible Intersecting Views and adjust the view range effectively. But if I use them in Elevation, for example to blow up a particular detail on my Building's elevations, the option for intersecting views goes away. This is a problem, because I need to be able to adjust the view range to properly show the information I'm trying to show. I was hoping to be able to turn over to the side elevation and just move the Section Key, just like I do with Plan Detail Callouts, and use that to adjust what I'm viewing. But quiet literally the option exists for Callouts in Plan View, but not in Elevation.

In particular, I'm referencing the fact that I can in Plan view select a callout, and then under the GRAPHICS TAB, right below GRAPHIC DISPLAY OPTIONS, is an option labeled SHOW IN, and you can select PARENT VIEW ONLY, or INTERSECTING VIEWS. This SHOW IN Label does not exist on my callouts used in elevation, and I do not know why.

Anyone have any ideas?

I honestly don't know what to say. I'm running 2021 right now, haven't made the jump to 2022 just yet. But in mine that option just simply is not there on Callouts that I made on my exterior elevations on this project. I managed to trick it by redrawing the callout and got the effect I needed, but what it honestly appears to be is that callouts on my exterior elevations are using the actual cut line of the exterior elevation as it's point of reference for where the callout cut line is, making it act almost more like a dependent view, rather than an independent one.

If the Parent view shows <none> then the option is disabled.

Why did Revit take this away in R23+?
