Toggling Visibility directly by shortcut

I'm working using a point cloud file in Revit.
For working purpose I need to turn on and off visibility of that point cloud thousands of time while working.

But to do that every time I have to open "Visibility" window through shortcut then need to press process 2-3 steps through mouse then click "OK".

I was in a great need to some how make it in a single click or keyboard shortcut.
Is there anyway in Revit it is possible?

Select it and temporary hide/isolate in view. Keyboard shortcuts for those:

Isolate Element = HI

Isolate Category = IC

Hide Element = HH

Hide Category = HC

You can open keyboard shortcut list to check and change if you need to.

Actually I temporarily hide many particular items according to need.

So after hiding point cloud, I can not unhide only the Point cloud ,instead everything will get unhide.
Is there any way I can only unhide only previously hidden element or elements?

Then I can work with this solution.

Fastest Drill is as follows

Select Element >> EH
RH >>> Select Element >> EU >> RH

EH: Element Hide

EU: Element Unhide

RH: Toggle Reveal Hidden

(Edit: It occurred to me that you might ask if there is a way to automate that...yes in form of a macro or using dynamo player but that would need 3 clicks to hide or 3 clicks to unhide - ie: total of 6 => same number of click and no programming knowledge required)

Maybe there's a better workflow. You say you need to hide/unhide the PC thousands of times while working with it. Why?

Just for visualization purpose, to view only models clearly.
Cause having point cloud included makes it to visible enough.

How about an additional view with the cloud on for reference?

Or use manage links to load and unload?

Maybe Far Clipping and 3D Section Boxes and/or Scope Boxes would be an alternative. Know what I mean?

Hey there,

A colleague developed a tool that I think could help you with this. Basically, it is a command that switches the visibility of the PointClouds on the active view. I recommend using it as a shortcut so it is simple to change the visibility whenever you need to, without opening further windows on Revit.

To be clear, it sounds like you are hiding and unhiding the Point Cloud while working on it because the View is cluttered with Points in the background of the plane you are working on. I can see how that would be confusing. Instead of hiding and unhiding the whole Point Cloud, just Crop the View to remove those Points from the View.

That's where I was coming from.

Those planar points can/should be cleaned up while processing the scans.

Hi! I think it's a more efficient way that @RDAOU told, to use EH an RH then click the cloud point element to restore, than using VV. And, there is another way similar, you can also use Workset, and put the cloud point element into a particular workset to control its visibility.
