Generating Mark Numbers for Framing and Columns via Dynamo Python: Issues with Cut Length

Hello everyone,

I am working on a Dynamo Python script to automatically generate mark numbers for Structural Framing and Structural Column elements. However, I am facing two major issues that are throwing off my results:

Script reads Length instead of Cut Length: Even when trying to target fabrication lengths, the script ends up reading or falling back to the standard nominal Length instead of the actual Cut Length.
Cut Length missing on Columns: The Cut Length parameter does not seem to be available or accessible for Structural Columns by default in Revit.

Accurate cut lengths are essential for proper mark numbering and scheduling. How can I reliably retrieve or calculate the true cut length for both framing and columns via Python/Dynamo to resolve this?

Any guidance, workflow suggestions, or script examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It would help to post the script and/or the python component.

Cut Length is generally available for Structural Framing.

Cut Length for Structural Columns is exposed by making the element a Steel Fabrication element first via connectors/modifiers.

(1) I'm assuming is a syntax issue. Posting the script will reveal if it is or not.
