Add shared parameters

Hello,

I am working on REVIT MEP2014 and I would like to add a shared parameter on ducts and pipes.

Is it possible to make an addition between the native parameter "elevation", "height" of ducts and pipes and a new shared parameter?

Hi Maxime,

Yes, it's possible to add shared parameters on ducts, pipe , with project parameters.

Unfortunately impossible to make calculations between parameters without using the programming.

That's what I had to do to automatically process the dimensions NGF for ducts, pipes and reservations on Revit MEP.

Hi,

As mentioned, a shared parameter will have a value that will not change automaticaly, but if you need this calculated value, you can also consider a schedule with a calculated value. This will not require any APIs.

Sure, if you need the value appearing at the property palette, then you need a shared parameter and a plugin/API to maintain it updated.

Hi,

At the create schedule window, when adding a parameter, just select the button 'Add Calculated Value', where you can perform some simple math with existing parameters...

Hi,

The problem is that the calculated value in the schedule can not be exploited in a label to display the results on plan view
