TextNote padding

I looked through the API documentation and couldn't find the answer. I am looking to place text in an exact location. The position of a text note is at the top-left corner of the bounding box. I would like to know the amount of padding around the bounding box and text. I can see there is padding where selecting the text in a view, but there doesn't see to be a value for this. Even if I can't change the padding, just knowing what the dimension is will allow me to place the text more accurately.
