How to change Area Reinforcement Layers Property?

Good day!

I'm looking for a way to change the Layers Property in a Structural Area Reinforcement object. Specifically, I have to changing the Exterior(Interior) Major(Minor) Bar Type and Spacing separately.

It's easy to do with Revit User Interface, but I have no idea which class Revit API controlling this properties.

I create Structural Area Reinforcement object with AreaReinforcement.Create() method, and I can select the bar type in there. But it sets the bar type for all four types at the same time.

Maybe I can set these property before creating an object?

Please help!

Yes, I agree those AreaReinforcement parameters are somewhat harder to find. In order to change those, you must set the following parameters:

For Wall hooks:

BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_BACK_DIR_1
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_BACK_DIR_2
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_FRONT_DIR_1
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_FRONT_DIR_2

For Wall spacing:

BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_SPACING_FRONT_DIR_1
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_SPACING_FRONT_DIR_2
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_SPACING_BACK_DIR_1
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_SPACING_BACK_DIR_2

For Floor hooks:

BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_TOP_DIR_1
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_TOP_DIR_2
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_BOTTOM_DIR_1
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_BOTTOM_DIR_2

For Floor spacing:

BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_SPACING_TOP_DIR_2
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_SPACING_BOTTOM_DIR_1
BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_SPACING_BOTTOM_DIR_2

You can set these using the following:

AreaReinforcement areaReinf = // get your element
Parameter ourParam = areaReinf.get_Parameter(BuiltInParameter.REBAR_SYSTEM_HOOK_TYPE_BACK_DIR_1);
ourParam.Set(yourHookTypeElementId);

NB:

DIR_1 is major direction, DIR_2 is minor.
You can use the parameters from wall to floor, as long as you keep in mind that "wall back = floor bottom" and "wall front = floor top"
