Local file creation problem

Hello, I have a problem creating a local file with a central file.
Anyone in my office can work with a local file and synchronize with the central file.
We have the same edition, Revit 2020.2 and we are on the same server.
I disabled my firewall, I added .rvt and other permissions, but i am not able to create a local file.
The opposite effect, if I make a central file, I am the only one who can make a local file.

Hi,

I would post this in the Revit Architecture Forum .

But sounds like you'r not accessing the local file from the same path.

G:\Project\Revit\Revit_CF2020.rvt

\\ShareG\Project\Revit\Revit_CF2020.rvt

Isn't allowed and considered a different central file, everyone MUST access the central file from the same path.

See the sync settings if the path is different.

Thanks, but it doesn't work.

I was looking for the link, the correct address as you suggested, but it does not work.

What, G:\Project\Revit\Revit_CF2020.rvt? it's just a sample adress.

Ask your colleagues the full adress to the Central file and create the local from that location!

If you can't access the adress you're colleagues are using then ask the IT department to setup the correct drive/path.

I know that it's just a sample adress. I'm using the correct address for our project.

It's a weird problem.

Ok, and when you have created the Local File, next look at the syncronization setting; which path is displayed to the central file, the one used or another one.

If it's another path:

1. Close Revit

2. clear you're temp file (Type %Temp% in win explorer adress)

3. delete (or move) all you're local files (of the project) and belonging subfolders (name of local + "_backup" behind it)
