Are you programming using the Revit API?

Do you want to obtain the default dimensioning behaviour in the middle of your add-in?

If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then you might be able to fulfil your requirements by calling PostCommand to launch the built-in Revit dimensioning command:

https://thebuildingcoder.typepad.com/blog/about-the-author.html#5.3

You need to exit your add-in code after PostCommand.

You can subscribe to the Idling event to get back into your Revit API add-in context after the dimensioning command has completed.

Thanks you very much!!

------------------------

I use RevitAPI . C#

-----------------------

If dim in the usual way I can do it !!
But I want when the dimension is finished, move the mouse, the dimmension will automatically follow. (like in the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18PImXm270Q3i-cx7DH4vfHBznlCMF-dG/view?usp=sharing )

Thanks you!!!!

If you want to see the hovering ghost dimension incarnated into a living dimension then that feature likely doesn't exist.

Otherwise it is just about adding extra references to the reference array. Revit API is transactional in nature meaning you make a request and it completes the whole request upon commit. You don't often see changes on screen until command finishes. Perhaps you can refresh view between transactions (not tested) and that may work for key stages but there will be no continuous animation of anything (for most things).
