Revit Model review: Custom check for window families

Hi all,

I am trying to find some documentation on creating a custom check use Revit Model Review to check my window families. We all know doing a window schedule is the worst especially when those in your team duplicate many of the same identify revit family types. I want to do a simple check to check the names of window families and look at their parameters to see if they are the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am not well versed in model checker, so I am not clear what exactly you wish to check.

Leaving the model checker aside, what exactly are you trying to check?

That each window instance in the model appears exactly once in a specific schedule?

Hi Jeremy,

Leave windows aside for the moment. I Just want some basic knowledge about the model reviewer. There is a way to create custom checks but there isn't much documentation out there on how to use it correctly or where the sample tests come from, etc. Could you help me with this?

OK, so I heard back from them and found two possibilities for you:

A. Best source for support on this add-in is support@interoperability.autodesk.com, as those sort of back end features are not well documented.

B. We do have a custom accelerator for Enterprise Priority accounts which shows how to build custom checks. If the customer is in an EBA, please have their CSM reach out to us to set something up.

I am not familiar with Revit Model review, but it seem to be a pretty easy 'classic' custom plugin to make.
