When you say 'code', do you mean programming using the Revit API?

I am pretty certain that what you ask for is possible manually using the normal end user interface.

It would help to determine the exact manual steps to achieve what you need first.

Then, it will probably be pretty straightforward to reproduce the same required functionality programmatically using the API.
