Attached project error nwd

I am trying to attach a nwd file to my point cloud in recap but keep getting this error. I open the inventor model in navis and save as .nwd. Then i open the point cloud in recap and try to attach the .nwd.

The model is placed in the right place which I have double checked in navis.

The file is not read only or locked in any way.

Is there a fix for this problem? I don't think I will be able to send anyone the model.

Hello phi.sch,

ReCap currently do not support any operation related to the .nwd file from Navisworks. You might want to consider attaching the point cloud in Navisworks, instead of attaching the .nwd file in ReCap.

Unless Autodesk removed another "Beta"-Feature (and this time without any notice), it should be possible to attach a NWD file to a ReCap Project:

Why would someone upgrade to the latest version of ReCap if it only gets fewer features and capabilities?

I'll keep my 2018 version. I can still attach NWDs and borrow licenses, thank you very much....

Is the NWD open in Navisworks Freedom or another application?

After much trial and error it seems that recap did not like that there was an "å" in the file pathway.
