Yes, I used a set of scans of a multi level space between the 2 floors to register them. When I deleted them from one set of the scans I was finally able to merge them. It would be nice if it was possible to select multiple scans to delete them at the same time. Individually deleting each scan from the group was excruciating.

I have 2 large rcp files each merged from several individual rcp files showing 2 floors of a building. I've created a new file and am attempting to merge these files together into one large project.

When I bring in both files I get this message when I try and bring in the second file:

"1 file will be ignored. files may exist in the project or have duplicate output file name

d:\project folder\project name 2nd floor merged.rcp"

Can someone explain to me what is going on here? Since I merged each of the floors from individual .rcp files to begin with, why isn't this working now?

I tried importing just the support folder for the other floor, but when I do that, the registration for the floor disappears and I'm left with the 500 individual scans of the floor. I do not want to have to reconstruct the floor from individual scans again.

Hello,

Did you used the same scan in both projects? Or the same name description?

I agree, Individually deleting each scan from the group, and/or project, is a very excruciating process. ReCap will flag individual scans when attempting to add duplicate scan names. This is good and no issue here. However, importing a RCP, which will import all the registered scans in the support folder, can create scan duplication issues. It would be nice if ReCap concatenated the scan name with the RCP project name when importing scans. Sometimes I use duplicate scans (renamed of course) in different projects for easy alignments from one project to another.

AutoCAD concatenates layer names with the reference files so not to have duplicate layer names or combining content on the same layer.
