In Recap project file (.RCP) structure scan files path missing

Hi,

Now i have started using Recap, I have copied one recap project files & its supports files to local drive from server.

If i open the .RCP file in Recap, then i am getting question marks on the supporting files attached. When i move cursor on that file, it shows the file path which is on server. They are not taking path of local drive where i saved the supports file (all supporting scan files are in one folder & just outside of that folder there is project file .rcp)

So how can i change the path of supporting files(structure scan files).

Just click on the question mark inside the bubble. You will have the possibility to reference the new location of the support folder. Once refering to the new location of one file, Recap should be able to find the new location of all the other scan files if they are in the same folder.

Hi,

The above mention method does not work anymore in Recap versions 2026-2027.

It only takes one file missing from the project "support" folder and the following happens:

That is not enought information to troubleshoot a project and find the missing files!

Hi @Robert.Soldynski ,

The team is investigating this. Small request if you get the chance, could we ask that you send us some Log files the next time you try to launch a ReCap project and you see this issue. Logs can be found here: C:\Users\{USER}\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk ReCap

I can DM you an address to send them to me directly if you are able to.
