I'm pretty sure the Reality Solutions SDK is exactly what you would need. From their website:

Thanks for your mail.
I make some measurement in "Recap Pro" like the diameter of pipes and some distance measurement. Can we get this values as text file so that it can be imported to the CAD environment.
Looks like these values are stored in RCP.
Alternatively, (I have to check this) when we open the RCP in AutoCAD can we get these measurement as seen in ReCap?

Regards,
Ramesh.P.K.

Ramesh,
"...when we open the RCP in AutoCAD can we get these measurement as seen in ReCap?"
Yes. The RCP file is intended to be used in AutoCAD and verticals like Civil 3D. You can use 3D Object Snap to either draw or measure.
Dave

RCP is basically just a zip file containing an xml file, amongst others. You can check that xml file for your measurements:

Ok. Thanks.
I wonder why this could not be open to users. Alternatively, if the Recap Pro SDK(which is presently not available) is made available it would be a great step forward to ReCap.
The reason for me is that I have been in this field of Laser scanning and modelling for the last 25 more years and was trained on Cyra's first few commercial scanners. I can provide some valuable inputs..:)
Not sure if you need to be an ADN partner to get access to it.

I have checked this on the AutoCAD website, The Reality Solutions SDK is available which has to do with 3D photos and photogrammetry. The Recap Pro SDK which deals with laser scan data is not available presently.

I just needed the limit box and cloud segment based on limit box to be made available thru the API or SDK.
