Hi,

Is there a way or a program that can move and rotate point clouds manually, either with a reference 3D model or by precise numeric input?

I'm aware of survey points in ReCap, but those are inconvenient to use and aren't accurate enough for my needs.

I'm preferably looking to edit the coordinate system of ReCap files directly, but if that's not an option I can convert to .ptx, .e57 and .pod files and work with them.

- Matti

Figured out an indirect method:

1: In ReCap, Export to .e57.

2: In MicroStation V8i (below just MS), import the .e57.

3: In MS, move and rotate the point cloud with the help of reference models as you wish.

4: In MS, export the point cloud into .xyz-format (excluding the Intensity-setting, it messes up coloring for some reason).

5: In ReCap, import the .xyz-file to your project just like any other additional scan.

I'd still like to know if there is an easier way?
